BlackBall South Africa takes pool to new heights introducing IPA South Africa
What is IPA South Africa?
Blackball South Africa (BSA) has extended their categories by introducing a professional arm of playing pool. IPA is the International Professional Pool Association being played across the world. The IPA is a international renown tournament with prize monies attached like never seen before within the pool fraternity. IPA UK will host the IPA World Champs in February 2024 where countries across the world attend.
How is IPA structured in South Africa?
- You start of by doing an online registration at a cost of R1500,00. The registration fee entitles a player to customized IPA golfer and access to “win a spot” at local clubs.
- Clubs will be allocated a number of spots at a cost of R1000.00 per spot payable by the club owner. Players will have to partake in weekly competitions at R100.00 entry to win a spot which will give them access to the “mini qualifiers”.
- IPA mini qualifiers which kick off in the 3 provinces namely Western Cape, Gauteng and KZN. Each off the mini qualifiers has a guaranteed prize pool of R75000,00 up for grabs with the winner awarded a fully sponsored trip to the IPA UK World Championship in two of them, namely Western Cape and Gauteng. The top 4 players at the KZN mini qualifier will receive automatic entry in the main event.
- The mini qualifiers will rank players base on their performances and the top 16 ranked players in South Africa will be invited to play at the main event at Gold Reeff City. The main event has a guaranteed prize pool of R150 000,00.
